As a mother of three adolescents (two of which have already earned the right to drive), a friend and first cousin of two DUI fatalities, naturally, my ultimate concern is public safety.
As a former educator rooted in the belief that true learning stems from a heart that is filled with a passionate concern for others, I am equally moved by the high level of recidivism seen in the State of Illinois where Drunk and drugged driving is concerned. Although the number of convicted DUI offenders has decreased by almost three thousand (3000)convictions from 2007 to 2009, there is still much work to do where effective education is concerned.
As an advocate of love and forgiveness, I have witnessed (firsthand) the restorative power of unconditional love working in the lives of scores of individual's addicted to drugs and/or alcohol.
Through interactive teaching methods, individualized motivational care, and spiritual fortification, you are promised to become equipped with the necessary strength, knowledge and coping strategies needed in order to make the lasting change that( I believe ) you are longing for.
My mission is to stop recidivism from occurring in your life!
My strategy is agape, or unconditional love.
You may ask, “What’s love got to do with it?” to that I say, “EVERYTHING!” Love produces hope and hope produces an environment for change. This is why my services are rooted in my underline belief that there is no failure in help that stems from unconditional love. When counseling methods are founded upon unconditional love they have the ability to bring about long-term behavioral changes
No matter what a person has done, or how far he or she may have gone astray, hope must be present in order for change to manifest within their lives.
Recidivism is the untapped discovery of change.
As a counselor, I strive to motivate internal change by (1) creating a supportive atmosphere of hope and trust and (2) equipping you with knowledge and understanding surrounding the detrimental effects of combining alcohol and drugs with driving.
Believing that everyone needs to feel support and love, my tradition is to hold and communicate faith and hope about and with those individuals who are faced with the difficult task of personal change. At AgapeHeadquarters we do not use fear tactics, attack methods or verbal degradation when facilitating this process.
